In addition to classic country music (Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton,Willy Nelson),this eclectic group performs soft rock (Eagles, linda Ronstadt,Judy Collins) and old standards from the 1930's and 1940's (George Gershwin,Hoagie Carmichael,Gus Khan). We are grateful for the opportunity to be still out there rockin' after the age of seventy and all members of NTLiike to remind our audiences that we "sing the songs you love to remember".NTL

Brass Roots Free Lawn Concert (Inside if it rains)
The Brass Roots is one of northwestern Jersey’s premier rock, soul, and R&B horn cover bands. They work hard at recreating the the right mix of rhythm, brass, and great vocal harmonies that have made these songs absolute classics.
Their influences start with great horn bands like Chicago, Earth, Wind, and Fire, The Ides of March, and KC and the Sunshine Band. Then they bring in the very best of artists like Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, and Van Morrison. They reach back for the classic R&B sound of Sam and Dave, Wilson Pickett, the Temptations, and Aretha Franklin. Along the way, they grab some funk from the Commodores, Wild Cherry, and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and wrap it all up with contemporary artists like Bruno Mars, Train, Ricki Marin, and Pink.
The Brass Roots features Rich Palmer on lead guitar and vocals, Fritz Elsasser on bass and vocals, John Gray Reed on rhythm guitar and vocals, Jerry Shortall on drums, Alison Kurtz on vocals, Mike Galley on keyboards and vocals, and – the fabulous horn section – Erik Elsasser on trumpet, Candace Procaccini on alto sax, Rick Landers on baritone sax, and Jason Wysocki on trombone.
