Upcoming Education & Events at Rutherfurd Hall

February- May Registration opens for your youth summer programs. Our camp offerings are unlike any other options in our region and were super popular last year. Make a plan now for your children, your children’s friends, and grandchildren to visit for these super unusual weeks in July and August. (These programs have their own link on the side bar!)

March 24th The Craig Kastelnik Quartet ($20 advance; $25 at the door). Tickets available at Mama's Cafe & Hackettstown Trading Post in Hackettstown, NJ, at Rutherfurd Hall on Wednesday afternoons from 1-4pm, and online at www.rutherfurdhall.tix.com Organist Craig Kastelnik will be joined by friends Pat Flaherty, Pete Fluck, and Paul Wells in another in our series of remarkable live music in the historical Rutherfurd Hall. A reviewer shares this from a recent show at the Albright-Knox Gallery in Buffalo, “Pat Flaherty has a dazzling voice, kind of low and strong, able to move into "bluesy" at a moment's notice. Flaherty told it best when she compared herself to Dinah Washington.” The Quartet is known for the energy shared between the players, and their new way of handling old favorites.  Since the Sisters housed an organ in the chapel room for all those years, we are excited to bring the organ back this time for the jazz and blues.

April 17, 7pm Armchair Travel Series Steve & Judith Kampmann speak about their recent trip to Bhutan, Free. Get in your chair and come visit the Kingdom of Bhutan. This extraordinarily beautiful country borders Nepal and China, but is very distinct and unique. A visit there is an opportunity to see stunning countryside, mountains, and, best of all, gentle people living their Buddhism every day. Judith and Steven Kampmann spent eight days there last November and are bringing their well-produced home movies to Rutherfurd Hall to share Bhutan with us all.
